KLUTH Motorsports - 2KWIK Chassis

About Us:

Rick grew up in a traditional family with two sisters. However, there was nothing traditional about their family hobby –Racing. When you think about racing families in Upstate New York, who have been around for over 50 years, it is easy to make the connection with how Kluth Motorsports began. From an early age, Rick was front row and center watching his father compete during weekly racing events. Racing was in definitely in his blood. As soon as he was legally able, he would join his sisters and cousins in the pits to work alongside the family making sure his dad was race ready. In the years that followed, Rick would step into his own car and from that point forward, he never look back. His love for the sport of racing and passion for innovation made a great combination as he worked on his goals of someday building a successful racing business.

In 1999, the first 2Kwik chassis was built. That year also brought many exciting changes for Rick as he took a stroll down the aisle, won his 1st Modified race and decided to begin his own racing business. Working during the day as a manager of a local service center and then coming home for a quick bite to eat, Rick would quickly head back out to the garage to continue building the business.  Working around the clock began to take a toll on life in general. A time soon came when he was at a cross-roads and a decision had to be made. Quit his day job and put everything into making the business successful or stay employed and take a gamble that his loyal customers would be patient enough to stick by him. The decision came about when his wife said to him, “I teach kids all day to reach for the stars and live out their dreams each and every day. If I can’t support the one I love to follow his dreams, then what is this all for?”  In early 2000, Kluth Motorsports went full speed ahead, adding reputable vendors, custom services and chassis design helped build the foundation for which our business was built.

In 2005 the Kluth family welcomed identical twin boys, Cameron and Tyler into the world.
